Vote for Transparency.

Michele Dappert works as a senior media planner in marketing & if there is one thing she has never been accused of: it's a failure to communicate. Have YOU ever tried to find something on the Talbot County council government website? It's slow, outdated, with endlessly confusing navigation -- that doesn't load properly on mobile. Vote for a more transparent Talbot County government council.

Affordable Housing

With more than 50% off renters, and 30% of homeowners considered “housing cost burdened” (which means they are paying more than 30% of their monthly income to keep a roof over their head), it is critical that we do better in our community. Talbot is actually the worst for affordability in the state. Watch the video for Michele's initial priorities, which also include support for local staples of the community like the Talbot Interfaith Shelter and the Neighborhood Service Center (where she actually raised money for as part of her service learning project at Easton High fifteen years ago!).

Development Priorities

A majority of the Talbot County Council has abandoned its commitment to the Comprehensive Plan. In this election, you can take the power back by electing council members who will restore faith with the plan. I will write the new one with long-term vision that supports smart development and protects our beautiful eastern shore, with a focus on ensuring clean water and healthy eco-system services.

Educational Priorities

Educator's and students have been historically underfunded and left behind in Talbot County, MD. Michele is endorsed by the TC Educator's Association ( website ) because of her plan to increase funding for all staff, support for social-emotional learning and updates to technology.

Interviewed by the Talbot Spy editor Dave Wheelan, with the technical support of the Avalon’s Mid-Shore Community Television MCTV, these profiles center on three primary subjects; a candidate’s background, qualifications, and priorities if elected to office.
